Stroll from forests to forests in Cayenne! La Forêt regardée, the exhibition in Cayenne which honours the richness of the Guyanese rainforest.
The LabEx CEBA presents an exhibition of Julie Boileau, artist photographer, who has been inspired by forests for six years. As part of a tandem project between artists and researchers supported by the CEBA, the artist brings the forest in Cayenne City and gives a glimpse on its hugeness and complexity.
Fascinated by scientists and their writings, she questions herself about the possibility of making the rainforest known in a global way, taking into account the sciences, the arts, the media. The forest, for the first time exhibited into Cayenne City, shows large photographs which honours the beauty of the territory of Guiana.
These large photographs, in which nature is at last much too cramped, are offering us to see the forest as the definition of our humanity. As an exterior where the imaginary and the vital force still have the most beautiful places.
In partnership with the town of Cayenne and the University of French Guiana, discover these captures of tropical forests on the Place des Palmistes, on the campus of the University of French Guiana and soon in the neighborhood of Village Chinois.
