Alain Franc and Yec’Han Laizet are two researchers members of the CEBA. They are part of Genetics and Ecology of Populations team, in the INRA joint research unit Biodiversity, Genes and Communities (BIOGECO). An interview with this two researchers was given in the France Grille newsletter published 20 june 2014. This interview is part of their work on evolutionary ecology and biodiversity that require the use of data processing and modeling, and in particular the Virtual_BiodiversityL@b project. This project, supported by the CEBA, aims to develop tools to study Amazonian forest diversity and make theim available to the scientific community.

France Grilles, created in 2010 as a Scientific Interest Group by 8 organizations is operated by CNRS Institut des Grilles et du Cloud. France Grilles main objectives are to establish and operate a national production grid infrastructure for high throughput data storage and analysis ; to contribute with the other countries involved to the EGI (European e-infrastructure) ; to strengthen synergies and collaborations between teams using the grid for scientific production and doing research on the grid. http://www.france-grilles.fr/France-Grilles,112
