CEBA’s Géocatalogue is born!

Developed by CEBA researchers and engineers of Joint Research Unit (UMR) AMAP (BotAnique et BioinforMatique de l’Architecture des Plantes) : Grégoire Vincent IRD researcher, Gaëlle Viennois CNRS engineer and Rainer Zaiss IRD engineer, CEBA’s Géocatalogue is now available online.

This Géocatalogue concerns the census of geographic data and archiving of relevant metadata useful for knowledge and management of biodiversity data in Amazonia. It aims to facilitate the sharing of resources acquired or produced by the CEBA for achieving its mission. It will allow better utilization of the data. Its access (enrichment / consultation) is by internet : CEBA Geoportal

An introductory session to editing and entry metadata records should take place in October. A working group will be established to ensure the smooth operation of the project for years to come.
Thank you to those wishing to contribute metadata of general interest (maps, images from remote sensing network inventory, spatial database, data …) to contact Grégoire Vincent : gregoire.vincent@ird.fr
