Societal valorization and links with the socio-economic sphere
The insurance industry needs to gain a better understanding of both the mechanisms of disease transmission and the risk of a disease spiralling out of control and fatally affecting a large portion of the population. This is why organized an international research conference with leading scientists in order to foster dialogue on this issue.
Within this conference organized in Paris on July 9 and 10, Jean-François GUEGAN (Joint Research Unit MIVEGEC) spoke in the name of the CEBA on the following theme : Buzzing emerging infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, global burden of disease and poverty/urbanization-promoting features of new infection.
