2 PhD students of the Labex CEBA take part in the Cordées de la Réussite

The Cordées de la Réussite, a national school scheme, is designed to encourage high school students to pursue higher education. Organised by the association Canopée des Sciences, it consists of a meeting between high school students and PhD students. The latters are invited to share their educational background and current research work with theses students with the aim to inspire them to consider higher education at the end of high school.

The 2 PhDs students are Olivier Dézérald and Ariane Mirabel who are both at the UMR EcoFoG, a team partner of the CEBA. Olivier Dézérald defended his thesis in November 2015 on the study of “Impacts of environmental changes on the Neotropical Biodiversity: structural and functional responses of faunal food webs of bromeliads reservoirs”. As for Ariane Mirabel, she started her thesis in Ocotber 2015 on “biodiversity trajectories in exploited tropical rainforest”. Theses interactions has the merit of providing an overview of the scientific world and to lead young people towards scientific research.
