December 3, 2013: AMAZOMICS organizes a bioinformatics day in Kourou

On December 3, 2013, a meeting is organized on bioinformatics applied to high-throughput genomics data by Ivan Scotti, the principal investigator for the AMAZOMICS project within the CEBA.
About fifteen researchers and postdocs members of the CEBA will gather for these exchanges on the Ecofog campus in Kourou. They will represent the following teams involved in the CEBA: Ecofog, EDB and the Institut Pasteur of French Guiana. A researcher from URFM (an INRA research unit on ecology of Mediterranean forests) will also be taking part.

The objective is to exchange practices during a “method fair”. The day will begin with each participant presenting its experience on one or several of the following subjects:
– The tools used to process bioinformatics data and for what purposes ;
– Needs concerning methods, questions as well as computer resources;
– Tools and know-how in programming that the participant can make available and platforms to which they have access.
This round table introduction will be followed by open discussions.
