October 8th and 9th: the CEBA organizes its second annual meeting in Cayenne, French Guiana

 
The Center for the study of biodiversity in Amazonia (CEBA) organizes its second annual meeting in French Guiana on October 8th and 9th, 2013 at the Novotel, route de Montabo, in Cayenne.
This congress will take stock of the progress of the works and precise the projects that will be set up.
– Tuesday, October 8th will be reserved for presentations and scientific exchanges on projects financed by the CEBA annual calls of proposals.
– Wednesday, October 9th: the morning period will be dedicated to discussions around strategic projects only for members of CEBA (small groups between 9am and 10.30am and presentations in plenary hall of 10.30am to 12.40pm) > closed door meeting
– Wednesday, October 9th: in the afternoon, an open stakeholders meeting will be held on the following theme: “Use of the knowledge produced by the Labex CEBA“.
 
The CEBA will have the pleasure to welcome at this meeting, in addition to the participants, the following personalities:
– Laurent Dever, manager of the Laboratoires d’excellence initiative, ANR (French national agency for research)
– Simon Tillier, biodiversity advisor at the French Ministry of higher education and scientific research
– Carlos Alfredo Joly, head of the Botany Department and Chairman of the BIOTA/FAPESP Programme, State University of Campinas/Unicamp, São Paulo, Brazil
– Erick Denamur, researcher, specialist of the ecology and evolution of microorganism, Inserm – Faculty of medecine Xavier Bichat, Paris
– Erick DENAMUR, chercheur spécialiste de l’écologie et de l’évolution des micro-organismes, Inserm – Faculté de médecine Xavier Bichat, Paris
– Patrick Jansen, researcher, specialist in vertebrate community ecology, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute / Wageningen University and Research Centre (Netherlands)
