The Centre for Amazonian Biodiversity Studies (CEBA) will held its Annual Conference on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 October 2025 on the campus of the University of French Guiana in Cayenne.
The 2025 edition welcomed 195 participants to Amphitheatre A at the University of French Guiana, and around 20 people connected to the videoconference to attend the 2025 Annual Conference.
The programme included presentations, discussions and perspectives for the future of research in the region. It was also an opportunity to highlight the work carried out since 2011 as part of the CEBA LabEx and to thank those who contributed to it.
Thirty-two speakers took to the stage over the two days to share their scientific advances, results and research projects: a highlight for the scientific community, institutional partners, civil society actors and all those interested in scientific research on biodiversity in the Amazon in general and more specifically in French Guiana.
These were rather special Annual Days, marking the end of 14 years of research and collaboration dedicated to understanding biodiversity in the Amazon.
