Exhibition: Eyes on 14 Years of research in Amazonia

This exhibition showcase, through a visual and artistic approach, the scientific projects which took place during the 14 years of the CEBA’s existence. It was the subject of a photo contest organised during the 2025 Annual Days.

Eleven photographers from the scientific community (researchers, PhD students, technicians, professors, etc.) shared their images with us. A total of 16 photographs were exhibited. For each pictures, a short text outlines the connection with amazonian scientific projects.

CEBA 2025 photo competition: the winners have been announced!

Two voting sessions were organised. The first was held at the EcoFoG joint research unit. Students at the Kourou agricultural campus, readers at the AgroParisTech documentation centre and on-site staff were able to take part. The second took place during the CEBA 2025 Annual Days at the University of French Guiana in Cayenne on 8 and 9 October.

At the end of these two days of meetings and after counting the 130 ballots, the first two prizes were awarded to Raphaël Fougeray for his photo Dendrobate Tadpoles (Tétards de Dendrobate) and to Bernd Schöllhorn for his photo  Fluorescent Insects (Insectes Fluorescents).

Biodiversity in pictures: a travelling exhibition

The exhibition will now continue to tour French Guiana and elsewhere. It consists of 16 A3 panels, labels in French and English, and two presentation booklets containing the explanations provided on the labels. The panels are covered with a UV filter and have two eyelets at the top for easy attachment.

If you are interested in borrowing it, please contact Maëva Trapon (maeva.trapon@cnrs.fr) or the AgroParisTech documentation centre.
