New approaches and uses of mushroom diversity in Antilles and French Guiana
Wednesday October 21st 2020 at 6:30 pm in Muséum de Toulouse. With the participation of Mélanie Roy
Mushrooms in neotropical forests stay usually unnoticed, usually microscopic, and for the most part unknown. Through new expeditions and citizen projects, mushroom observations are getting more and more common in South America. The study of their diversity reveals their crucial role in forests, their narrow interactions with trees, and invites us to look at them from a different perspective. Through different studies done in French Guiana and Antilles, we will talk about all the topics on mushrooms from their diversity to their ecology and possibly, new uses.
