Presentation of the Labex CEBA during the visit of the French minister of Research Geneviève Fioraso in French Guiana

The French minister of Research and higher education, Geneviève Fioraso, came to French Guiana on December 13 and 14, 2013, along with the official visit of the president of the French Republic, François Hollande. On this occasion, she took part in several events about science, technology and the future university of French Guiana.
On Saturday 14, December, she participated during the afternoon in the official opening of a new laboratory at the Institut Pasteur of French Guiana, one of the 9 supervision organisms of the Labex CEBA. This laboratory was constructed by the Stronger program for the reinforcement of research capacity on diseases in French Guiana, thanks to European funds.
During this sequence, the Labex CEBA was presented to the minister by Jérôme Chave, the scientific director of this research network. Bertrand Monthubert, president of the University Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, another supervision organisms of the   CEBA, attended this presentation as he was present in French Guiana during the minister’s visit.
